Save Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Age: 34 Posts: 81 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts Iveco Daily 50c15 Had a stange one today, One of our drivers came back with one of the vans saying their was a problem with the brakes, on test driving it, the brake pedal is going solid intermitantly in the up position (not dropping at all) I've removed all the brakes etc but everything looks ok, calipers are fine sliders are free etc even took the servo out and check'd but that too looks fine. I have also check'd the pedal and attachments but all are ok, going to build it back ap tom, and i know this isn't an iveco forum but has anyone had a similar problem on anything they have been worked on as im kinda at a loss. Can you hear the servo dump air when the pedal is depressed. Run the engine for a short period the brake pedal should feel slightly spongey - then switch off - pump the pedal numerous times and listen for air being dumped and the brake pedal firming up. A hard brake pedal is a sign the servo is empty.
